For turning on a six-pence:

Have a look at this innovative football boot called the 'Glove' by Aussie boot manufacturer Nomis.

Aimed at improving a players control by using 'K-rubber' and 'Wet Technology' - when wet, the leather apparently acts to grip the football onto the boot, in theory, allowing your average sunday league hacker to change direction like a young Zidane.

It also boasts 'No mud technology' which supposedly means 70% less mud is likely to collect on the base of your boot allowing you to get from box to box non-stop for the full ninety.

The only drawback I can see is that it's endorsed by Harry Kewell, therefore I doubt it's had much use in match conditions in this country . .
