You want a phone but you are waiting for one made of wood right? Worry not, the LG Shine has morphed into the LG Shine Wood! It looks great to me but apparently is only for sale to Korean schoolgirls.

Kitty Komputer

I tried to tell Dave not to post this but he overpowered me. These are the new machines that he has everyone working on at ame design these days - it's a dream tie up between NEC, Swarovski and uber cat Hello Kitty. If you want to buy one you'll need to get some Yen (of course).

VW Eos
A real clever ad for the Volkswagen Eos. Don't get me wrong I'm not bothered about the car but VW have some great advertising. Saw it here on one of my fave blogs, if only they updated it more often...

Potato cutlery
Saw this on here, its cutlery made from 80% potato starch and 20% soy and is totally biodegradable. Its unfortunately double the price of plastic cutlery currently but its a great alternative and the price will eventually come down. It can even be washed and reused multiple times. But surely isn't stainless steel cutlery still best for the environment?

Mobile Phone//Projector Mashup

This is a concept phone from Stefano Casanova, so in real-life it may end up much bigger. It's not the first idea for incorporating a projector into a mobile but it's the best attempt I've seen so far. Removing the need for a screen is particularly neat.

Alarm Clock/Internet Collision

Convergence knows no limits it seems. We've all been waiting for web enabled alarm clocks for so long now... Well, if you have Wi-Fi you can now take TGLP to bed with you for more intimate enjoyment courtesy of the Chumby. This soft rubber and leather clock-thing has a 3.5" touchscreen, usb ports, stereo speakers and an i-pod connection (of course). It also comes with some random/unecessary 'charms' that can be attached to the thing if you feel the need. It's not out yet so keep your powder dry if you can.

It's a wrist watch... and a phone, and a camera, and an mp3 player...

Hyundai may not produce the hottest looking cars but they sure can cram a lot of stuff into a watch. This guy, the W-100 is 1.3 Mega-Pixie Camera, an MP3 Player, a Phone, it has a touch-screen, it has bluetooth, oh and it also tells the time. It doeasn't even look that massive. Let's hope it also has a stopwatch so you can also track how many seconds the battery lasts.

Computing's Top-Ten Uglies
PC World have issued a top-ten of the ugliest things in the history of computing. These guys should know their onions when it comes to computing, but are they arbiters of taste?? Well, it appears that unsurpisingly the answer is no. Microsoft earn themselves two entries with the admittedly butt-ugly windows 1.0 (pictured above), and the questionable inclusion of Zune. The most outrageous inclusion has to be the Osborne 1 (also pictured) which is just a classic slice of antique tech. Look at the typeface! marvel at the massive disk drives! and get all protective over it's tiny little monitor - bless. PC World, shame on you.

The Future of Digital Radio
A couple of blazing hot concepts for digital radios from everyone's favourite design agency. One is is for the the young un's and one for the old folk. Yes, the market is polarised and this is how ame design deal with that.
