Virgin unveiled a model of Spaceship Two yesterday. Less freakish than Ansari X prize winning

Apple Flops

Often trumpeted for it's product successes (Newton aside), it's refreshing to see WIRED publish it's list of Apple flops. Featured here is my fave - The Pippin. One of the most feeble video game consoles ever launched. As if this thing was ever going to take down Nintendo.

New MacBook!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Typical - I go and buy a macbook just as a new one is launched. To be fair, this has been rumoured for some time. An Apple source has given Wired the low-down on the superskinny "MacBook Air". These are sadly just photoshop visuals you'll have to wait for Big Steve's keynote at MacWorld for the real thing.

Foam Weapon

I just saw this on Toolmonger. It's a heavy-duty B&D carving tool, designed to take out the toughest Turkey. ID types might also be interested in the suggestion that it would make short work of carving foam.

A Stitch in Time

I stumbled across this great Sewing Machine concept on Core and felt it was worth a mention, it was designed by Kristine Brückner, an industrial design graduate from the Munich's University of Applied Sciences.

The sewing machine not only takes on a new modern aesthetic but also incorporates some modern technology. To load the thread you just drop in your spool and it automatically feeds it through the machine. It also has a touch screen control and displays the type of stitch you are going to create.

I love a good logo. Here is a article at the logo lounge, I only just found it thanks to swiss miss but its definitely getting bookmarked. I'm going to say something people in the office are going to hate but I really like the Zune logo. I'm sorry.
